My mission is to strengthen our community by investing in youth, supporting local families, and creating safe, thriving neighborhoods. I am committed to expanding access to education, economic opportunity, and community-based programs that build pride, resilience, and unity.

Community of Opportunity

HIS VISION

I envision a District 3 where our streets are clean and safe, our small businesses flourish, and our young people are surrounded by opportunity. Together, we can create a more vibrant, connected, and empowered Compton.

WHY RANDALL HOOK?
He's Not Just From Compton. He Never Left.

Randy Hook was born and raised in the Richland Farms neighborhood. While others gained fame by leaving Compton, Randy stayed building something that would carry the city's name to every corner of the world.

He understands both sides of the equation: he's navigated the corporate boardroom and the neighborhood block. He's built bridges between institutions and communities. And he's done it all with Compton's name on his chest.

He's Doing the Work

Founder & CEO — Compton Cowboys
Built a globally recognized, multimillion-dollar brand that has worked with Guinness, Beyoncé's IVY PARK, and more — all rooted in Compton's identity and culture.

Executive Director — Compton Junior Equestrians
Leads the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that keeps at-risk youth off the streets and in programs that build confidence, discipline, and opportunity through horsemanship.

CSUN Graduate — Masters in Music Industry Administration
Applied his business and entertainment education to build a scalable model where community mission and economic sustainability go hand in hand.

Occidental College Bachelor of Arts (Sociology)

Community Activist & Organizer
Led the Compton Cowboys' Black Lives Matter peace rides and consistently used his platform to advocate for safer, more equitable neighborhoods.

CAMPAIGN PILLARS

Randy’s strength is connection. He knows how to bring people, ideas, and generations together for positive change.

Safe, Clean Neighborhoods

Every resident deserves to feel secure and proud of where they live. Randy will push for responsive public safety, cleaner streets, code enforcement that works, and well-maintained community spaces throughout District 3.

Jobs & Business Development

Compton's future depends on growing local businesses, attracting responsible investment, and making sure economic opportunity reaches every corridor and neighborhood not just select zip codes. Randy has built one himself; he knows how.

Responsible City Leadership

Leadership should be transparent, accountable, and focused on results. Randy will put residents first, restore trust in how the city is run, and ensure District 3 has a voice at every table where decisions are made.

Youth Empowerment

Compton's young people are its next generation of leaders. Randy has spent his life creating pathways for youth through the Compton Cowboys and Compton Junior Equestrians. On the council, he'll expand mentorship, programs, and opportunity citywide.

Randy Hook is ready to lead.

He is stepping forward now because Compton needs someone who understands the full spectrum of who we are our history, our culture, our challenges, and our limitless potential.
